This large, well appointed Farmhouse in Cornwall sleeps up to 9 people over 4 bedrooms and comes with it's own exclusive, heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and games room. The house is in its own secluded setting with stunning country views in the heart of Cornwall (20 mins drive to Looe and the coast).

House Layout

Entrance Hall & TV Lounge

Entering through the front porch you enter the TV lounge area which has 2 comfortable leather sofas, a large selection of games, TV & its own knight in shining armour!

An ideal location for some quiet time or to park the kids whilst the adults relax in the main lounge!

Master Suite = Bedroom 1

At the top of the stairs as you enter the farmhouse you will find bedroom 1 which is the Master Suite.

It has a super-king size large 4 poster bed, dressing table, wardrobe & TV.

This suite also has a single bed connected to the main bedroom via the jack and jill bathroom

Single Bed and Jack & Jill Bathroom

The single bedroom which adjoins the Jack & Jill bathroom and is adjacent to the Master Bedroom.

It contains a single bed, small wardrobe, chest of draws & TV.

Its ideally situated for a child or teenager.

Jack & Jill Bathroom

Bathroom 1 is the light and airy Jack & Jill Bathroom connects the Master Bedroom & the Single Bedroom.

It contains a walk in shower, washbasin with over sink mirror , toilet & bath with handrails.

Twin Bedroom Downstairs - Bedroom 2 & Bathroom 2

As you enter Merryfield farmhouse, directly on your left you will find bedroom 3, which is a twin bedroom with small dressing area and leads to bathroom 2.

The downstairs twin has level easy access which makes it more suitable for elderly or infirm guests.

It has 2 single beds, a TV and a dressing area with a dressing table and small wardrobe which leads to bathroom 2.

Bathroom 2 - Wet Room

Bathroom 2 is a wet room off of the downstairs twin bedroom.

It has a walk in shower area without an enclosure and with fitted hand rails, shower, wash basin with over-sink mirror & toilet

Main Lounge with large Fireplace, log burner & TV

This is the oldest part of the house with oak beams and the original 16th century fireplace & bread oven, there are 3 leather sofas & a TV

Kitchen

As you leave the lounge you will enter the spacious country style kitchen, with a leather sofa & dining table with seating for up to 9 people as well as a TV & radio.

The Kitchen has a large sink, dishwasher, range double oven, American style fridge freezer with ice dispenser, microwave, kettle & toaster.

Utility Room & Toilet

To the left as you enter the kitchen is a large utility room with sink, washing machine, tumble dryer as well as the recycling area.
The Utility room also holds bathroom 3 which has a walk in shower, toilet & wash basin.
The utility room has a door leading outside where you will find dustbins & an ash bin as well as a small log & coal store.

Bedroom 3 - Second Master Bedroom with 4 Poster Bed, Plus en-suite bathroom

If you take the stairs from the kitchen to the first floor, on your right from the landing you will find the second master bedroom with 4 poster kingsize bed, dressing table & clothes hanging area, plus the en-suite bathroom containing walk in shower, toilet & washbasin with vanity unit.

Bedroom 4 - Twin Bedroom, Plus en-suite bathroom

If you take the stairs off the kitchen to the first floor on your left from the landing you will find a modern twin bedroom.

This contains 2 single beds, bedside cabinet & light, draws, cabinet with TV & a clothes rail, along with Bluetooth speaker system so you can listen to music from your phone.

There is also an en-suite bathroom with walk in shower, toilet & wash basin.

Courtyard

To the rear of the kitchen door is a small courtyard area where you will find a range of tables & chairs, along with sun loungers & a gas BBQ (spring & Summer only).

This area has lighting and provides a nice area to relax in the warm summer evenings in Cornwall.

It is a fenced area between the main house and the games room & swimming pool with gates either side to provide an enclosed space suitable for toddlers and dogs so you can relax while outside.

Games-room

There is a well equipped games-room at Merryfield Farmhouse with Pool, Darts, Table football and Air-hockey.

There is also a Bluetooth speaker in the ceiling so that you can play music via your phone.

The games-room has key pad entry so that you can control access to it.

Sauna & Changing room with bathroom 6

Leading into the pool room where the sauna & changing room are situated is another pin coded key pad with a different code to the games room. This allows you to control access to the pool & Sauna, while allowing access to the games-room

There is a 4 person sauna, which had a new Sauna oven in 2021.

The changing room has an electric shower, toilet and wash basin.

Exclusive & Private Indoor Heated Swimming Pool

At Merryfield farmhouse you have access to your own private indoor heated swimming pool, exclusively for your use.

We keep it at a steady 29c year round so its lovely to swim in!
